There was a lot of guff about how comfortable they were, how they were beautifully-made and lasted a lifetime. Who cared! What was unsaid, but universally known, was that in your Christian Louboutins, faded jeans and blue velvet jacket you looked the cat’s pyjamas.
I have worn them ever since, without apology. I have worn them in front of toffs and tarts, at weddings and funerals, even to granny’s birthday. I am utterly at home in my vulgar Metropolitan slippers.
Now Prada, the high fashion store that sells nylon bags for £300, has produced a pair of loafers which, this summer, the style gurus claim, has the measure of the Christian Louboutin. The Prada is now, apparently, to take its place in accessory heaven – next to the Hermes scarf and the Dunhill lighter, I suppose.  Huh!
Surprisingly, even a large number of Florentines themselves are unaware of the great bargains, such as $ 100 Prada Louboutin Shoes and $ 200 Christian Louboutin boots, that lie just 45 minutes away from the heart of their city. But the outlets are now on the in-the-know tourist’s list of things to do along with the Duomo and the David.
Just as U.S. outlets often serve as repositories for last season’s merchandise,louboutin, the same holds true here. So don’t expect to save money on the same dress currently featured in an Italian boutique. But it is possible to find the same items that sell in the USA, at savings of hundreds of dollars here. And when you can snap up Prada Louboutin Shoes, which typically retail for $ 600, for a fraction of that, who cares if they have been out for a few months? Also, there’s no guarantee they were sold in the USA, so you could still be the first one your block to have them. (And yes, the Louboutin Shoes and handbags come with their own customary drawstring bag as they do in boutiques.)
